Color Schemes Originals Updated
The current Board is dedicated to returning our community to it’s original colonial appearance. Following the same color scheme is important to that end. The governing documents have included the color schemes for each of the home fronts. This post shows those same colors using today’s paint color identifier numbers.
The table below is a copy of the same table that should have been included in your governing documents.
The original paint manufacturer (Duron Paints) was purchased by Sherwin Williams (SW). So with help of SW’s customer support, the table now shows the closest match in current SW colors to those of the old colors.
The color of your door and the surrounding trim are the most important inspectable details for your unit. The Board recognizes the shutters were replaced without first consulting this table. And the previous rule that “the door color must match the shutters color” was never supported by any of the governing documents. So throw out that rule and utilize this chart instead where the door color is based on the brick colors on the front of your house.
All white doors will eventually need to be painted according to this color scheme. If you have a wood grained door please submit an architecture request to get an exception to following the color scheme. The Board will provide exceptions to doors that are already purchased and installed. But future doors must follow the architecture guidelines including these colors.
To read the table below, first find the color of your brick front in column 2 (BRICK). Then slide over to the column 5 (FRONT DOOR) to find the color of your door. Sometimes there are 2 because an exact match of the old color did not exist. So choose one of the 2.
Notice that only the light tan brick houses have the green door. Please make this correction, those of you who incorrectly have green doors.
We did not yet verify the colors for the trim around the doors. That is coming. If you decide to paint your trim, follow the table and try to find a color that is close.
